Studios
Our program aims to support artists at crucial moments in their careers, whether they are emerging, mid-career or established, during their residency period and beyond.
The program consists of artistic production periods in our studios, where each artist benefits from the exchange with other artists, curators and a wider audience, thus enhancing the visibility and reach of their work.
Lagos differs from other residency projects in Mexico City thanks to its exhibition program, as well as for its active and diverse community. For Lagos it is a priority to support local artists through a connection with international conversations, while foreign agents participate in the local context.

Lagos is an independent and experimental platform for contemporary art, based in Mexico City, comprising a program of residencies, studios and exhibitions.
Our mission is to respond to the changing needs of agents within the contemporary art context through a solid infrastructure, creative programming and an expansive community. We believe in the power of art as a sensitive and critical tool to transform reality.

We have 9 studios which vary from 22m2 to 116m2. Prices go from $450 dls to $1300 dls.
The residence includes:
- Individual studio.
- Use of common areas (terrace/dining room, hall, bathroom, freight elevator).
Lagos proposes a 3-month residency plan, with the possibility of shortening or lengthening the stay depending on the type of project.

In order to reserve the space on a specific date we need :
- Payment in advance of the first month of the period.
- Passport.
- Proof of address.
- Data in case you need an invoice.

Lagos makes available 9 studios in Mexico City for the artist rental studio program.
